QUANTITATIVE LIFE SCIENCES GUEST SEMINAR

Monday, 29 April 2019 at 11:00,
ICTP, Central Area, 2nd floor, old SISSA building, via Beirut 2

Speaker: Moisés Santillán, Quantitative Biology and Complex Systems Lab,
Cinvestav Monterrey, Apodaca, México

Title:  Microbial motility and bacterial gene network dynamics

Abstract:
In this talk I will present a panoramic view of the results of some of
the most recent projects within my group. This includes: study of
motility of the bacterium E. coli in a porous medium with different
degrees of porosity; characterization of the motility patterns of the
parasite responsible for Chagas' disease; and study of the dynamic
behavior of the tryptophanase gene regulatory network in Escherichia
coli. I also plan to discuss possible future interdisciplinary research
projects arising from the presented results. In this last regards, I'm
very much interested in having the audience feedback.
