Title: Nonlocal Poisson vertex algebras and Hamiltonian operators of third order

Abstract: the theory of Poisson Vertex Algebras is a convenient framework to study the properties of Poisson structures for evolutionary PDEs. In particular it provides an unified language to deal with structures defined by both differential and pseudodifferential operators. In this seminar I will explain how such a theory can be used to classify nonlocal Hamiltonian operators of third differential order in two and three components. This is joint work with E. Ferapontov, M. Pavlov and R. Vitolo.
