"Coherent Nonlinear Co-transport of Light and Atoms"

Abstract:
Attempts to use hollow optical fibres to guide BECs have been
experimentally inconclusive. One explanation of these experimental
difficulties will be provided.
It will then be shown that there are parameter regions where atoms
and light in a hollow photonic crystal wave guide combine to form
solitary waves, allowing stable transport.
