give a talk on

The Universal Lie infinity-algebroid over a singular foliation

on Wednesday, November 15th, at 4:30 pm in room 136, SISSA building A.

Abstract:
We present how to associate a (unique up to homotopy)  Lie infinity-algebroid to a real analytic singular foliation. Being unique and universal, this Lie infinity algebroid has cohomology spaces which are canonically associated to the foliation. We use these invariants to show that it is not possible in general to find a Lie algebroid of rank r inducing a singular foliation of rank r.
