Algebraic Geometry Seminar

Title: Algebraic Hyperbolicity for fibered threefolds and new perspectives

Abstract: In 2008 Corvaja and Zannier proved algebraic hyperbolicity for 
the complement of a conic and two line in the projective plane and then 
generalized this in a very recent paper. This solved a split case of 
Vojta-Lang conjecture. We will show how to prove the non-split case of 
the same conjecture and address some ways to extend these results to the 
two component case, i.e. for the complement of two conics in the 
projective plane, using some logarithmic Gromov Witten invariants.
