Professor Bai Chengming (Chern Institute for Mathematics,
Nankai University, Tianjin, China) will give a talk on

Classical Yang-Baxter equation and some related structures
 


on Thursday, May 16th, at  5:30 pm  in Room 136 (SISSA Building A).

Abstract: In this talk, I briefly introduce the classical
 Yang-Baxter equation 
with an emphasis  one the unification of the tensor 
and operator forms of the 
classical Yang-Baxter equation. As 
applications, certain generalizations of the 
classical Yang-Baxter equation with motivations from integrable systems, and 
some new 
algebraic structures with an operadic interpretation are presented. 
Furthermore,
 some bialgebraic structures are constructed using the relation
between Lie bialgebras and the classical Yang-Baxter equation.
