"Conformal invariants from the noncommutative residue"

Abstract:
We will review the deduction of a pair of conformal invariants on any 
even dimensional, compact, conformal manifold without boundary, obtained 
by the noncommutative residue of a pseudodifferential operator of order 
-2 acting on square integrable sections of middle dimension forms on the 
manifold.
These invariants relate to the so called critical GJMS-operators and the 
results generalise to even dimension work of Connes
for dimension 4 in ''Quantized calculus and applications'' (1994).
