will give a talk on

Stability and its ramifications

On Friday, June 8th, at 2:30 pm in Room 004
(ground floor, SISSA building A).

Abstract: The lecture will be concerned with the interaction between algebraic
geometry and other  fields of mathematics and physics. The main theme
will be the notion of "stability" which arose in moduli problems in
algebraic geometry and its  relationship with topics in partial
differential equations, number theory and physics.
