Professor Ashok K. Raina (Tata Institute, Mumbai,
India) will give a talk on

Fay's Matrix Identity for Vector Bundles on a Curve

on Wednesday, June 15th, at 2:30 p.m. in Room 136 (SISSA Building A).

Abstract: Among the less well known identities established by Fay
is a matrix identity which has some claim to be a
vector bundle generalisation of his better known trisecant
identity. We show how an earlier proof of the latter can
be generalised to prove his matrix identity.
