TITLE: Entanglement of identical particles: theory and applications

ABSTRACT: A more general and physically relevant definition of
entanglement and non-locality is given. Such definition is particularly
useful in the framework of identical particles. Indeed, it allows to
define entanglement independently by any a-priori Hilbert space tensor
product structure. Mathematical aspects and application to interferometry
and noisy quantum information processing are discussed.

TIME AND PLACE: Wednesday, December 07th, 03.00 PM, Room 204 LB

The Quantum Journal Club of the Department of Physics is an informal
appointment for the discussion of current research topics in quantum
mechanics and related disciplines. It aims at promoting interactions and
spreading knowledge among local scientists.

Anybody wishing to give a contribution can contact me at rromano at ts.infn.it.
