will hold a seminar on:


"Geometric quantization of Poisson spheres"


Abstract: Since the beginning of  the 90's Karasev, Weinstein
and Zakrzewski independently proposed a procedure to understand
deformation quantization through geometric quantization.
Recently new results on how to build the symplectic groupoid
integrating a Poisson homogeneous space and the paper
"A groupoid approach to quantization" by E. Hawkins renewed
interest in this program.
In this talk we will describe the procedure on the toy model
of Podles' Poisson spheres. This will give us the opportunity
to talk about some features of quantization as a functor.
