will give the lecture course on


"Infinitesimal Geometry: New Perspectives"


This series of three lectures will introduce some new aspects of
Infinitesimal Geometry.
The latter is reflected most faithfully in
the structure of the algebra of differential operators.

The first lecture will provide a thorough introduction to the
Hopf algebra of polynomials, $k[x_1,\dots,x_n]$ and the symmetric
algebra, $S_k^*(V)$, as well as their graded duals,
$\Gamma_k^*[\xi_1,\dots,\xi_n]$ and $\Gamma_k^*(W)$.
