Abstract:
Let H be a Hamiltonian arising from classical Lagrange's problem and
consider the Hamilton Jacobi equation H(df)=h. This equation does not
always have a classical solution, but always has a solution in a weak
sense. This is Fathi's weak KAM theorem. In this talk, I will give brief
sketch of the proof of this result.
