Orthogonal polynomials and integrable equations

Abstract: It will described how to write (2x2) Lax representation of  
Toda and Ablowitz-Ladik
equations (semi infinite case) using the theory of (bi)-orthogonal  
polynomials (on the real line and on the unit circle).
These two cases will be treated in a unified way as reductions of 2D  
Toda.
