" Deconfinement in organic superconductors "
Abstract
Organic superconductors are systems made of coupled one dimensional
chains. These compounds exibit thus a very interesting transition
between a one dimensional regime, where interactions are crucial and
the system is described by a Luttinger liquid or a Mott insulator, to a
three dimensional one where a more conventional Fermi liquid behavior
is expected. I will review this physics, and show how it can be
analyzed both using analytical techniques, and also numerical
techniques such as dynamical mean field approach looking at a single
chain imbedded in a bath (chain-DMFT). Using these techniques we could
investigate the various properties across this dimensional transition.
Of special interest is the shape of the Fermi surface and how one can
go from the gapped Mott insulator to recover a standard Fermi surface
when the system is back to Fermi liquid behavior.
