This summer, the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics (PI) will 
be holding its annual International Summer School for Young Physicists 
(ISSYP) under the patronage of the Canadian Commission for UNESCO. The 
International Summer School for Young Physicists accepts approximately 
100 international and Canadian highly motivated students (16-17 years 
of age) who are passionate about maths and science. This two-week 
program will allow students to engage in workshops to explore the 
fascinating concepts of theoretical physics about our universe and to 
interact with the world class physicists at PI.  The ISSYP will also be 
an occasion for students to tour various labs in Ontario, enjoy social 
and cultural activities, and make new friends from around the globe.
 
International students must fund their transportation costs from their 
own country to Toronto. However, all of the ISSYP associated costs in 
Canada are covered by the Institute. www.youngphysicists.ca

Cet été, l’Institut Perimeter pour la physique théorique organisera une 
école d’été internationale pour jeunes physiciens sous le patronage de 
la Commission canadienne pour l’UNESCO. L’école d’été accueillera une 
centaine de jeunes étudiants canadiens et internationaux âgés de 16-17 
ans avec un intérêt particulier pour les mathématiques et les sciences. 
Ce programme de deux semaines sera une occasion d’explorer les concepts 
fascinants de la physique théorique reliés à notre univers et de 
rencontrer les experts reconnus mondialement de l’Institut. Cet 
événement sera aussi une occasion pour les jeunes scientifiques de 
visiter différents laboratoires en Ontario, de profiter d’activités 
sociales et culturelles, et de se faire des amis de différentes régions 
du monde.
 
Les étudiants internationaux devront couvrir leurs frais de déplacement 
jusqu’à Toronto. Toutefois, tous les frais associés à l’école d’été 
déboursés au Canada (déplacements au Canada, logement, repas, etc)
