Hello Heidi,
In the &globdatparam stanza of your namelist, you need to
include the line
calendar = '360_day',
At least this is how it works for RegCM4.4. I expect it would be
similar for 4.3 but am not sure.

Hello,
I have a compiled version of RegCM4.3 and I'm trying to use the
HADGEM2-ES RCP driving data, but I'm unable to run the sst script
to generate the sst's to run the model. I have tried both the
monthly and daily sst's (the only ones available for the
particluar HADGEM2-ES RCP ensemble), as it was not clear in any of
the documentation which one would work.
Both of them give me similar errors having to do with the calendar
(either "leap year" or "360-day"):
$ ./Bin/sst SEA_NAT45.in
This is sst part of the RegCM version 4
SVN Revision: 3572M compiled at: data : Mar 19 2013 time:
15:06:23
: this run start at : Tue Aug 26 12:37:26 2014
: it is submitted by : hstauffe
: it is running on : stratus.pmc.ucsc.edu
: in directory : /vol6/hstauffer/RCP_NAT/RCP4.5N
HA_45 calendar should be set to 360_day
sst : Calendar mismatch: 1
Abort (core dumped)
I am now not sure what driving data would be appropriate, since
monthly and daily are the only apparent options for the HADGEM RCP
scenario that I need. Do I have to transform the driving data
before I run the sst script?
Please advise so that I can start again on the long process of
downloading the correct data or altering the data that I already
have to make it compatible.
Thank you.
