Dear RegCM users and developers,
I'm a beginer in climate modeling and physics of atmoshere. I try to understand all steps thoroughly. Especialy, how to derivate the model dynamic equations, presented in User Manual, from basic equations?
I read some references from User Manual and MM5 documentation, it was helpful, but not enough detail.
I had tried to do it independently and almost succeeded to get horizontal momentum equation in sigma-coordinates, but still didn't understood how map factor appears. 

Could you advise me some other manuals, article or books about this problem? I will be very grateful for any references.
