Dear Mohamad,
thank you for assistance, but it is not exactly what I asked for. I had already did this steps with BATS, and got some impact, but it was smaller, than I expected.
Can you tell me more detailed about modyfing CLM files, please? I'm not afraid of difficulties with modyfing .nc files, I already get some expierence with it.
Thanks.

Best regards,

Dear Konstantin,
For CLM it is difficult because you should change three files for make the change to get the effect. But for BATS I think you will find the impact very fast because there is just one file you can change the type. This file is the txt file LANDUSE which exists in your input folder with your ICBCs. For BATS do you make it as the following;
1. run the terrain then you will get the DOMAIN and LANDUSE files
2. modify the LANDUSE txt file as you wish
3. edit your regcm.in (namelist) by make the following two lines ture;
    fudge_lnd   = .true.,  ! Fudging Control flag, for landuse of grid
    fudge_lnd_s = .false.,  ! Fudging Control flag, for landuse of subgrid
    fudge_tex   = .true.,  ! Fudging Control flag, for texture of grid
    fudge_tex_s = .false.,  ! Fudging Control flag, for texture of subgrid
and if you use subgrid also modify the _s lines
4. do again the terrain step to creat the correct LANDUSE file which will use in your simulation.
that is all as I did before and got the impacts.
Hope this is helpful
Regards

Dear RegCM users,
we made serial of RegCM simulations over Siberian region, with my collegues. We found, that in some areas RegCM-landcover (with either BATS or CLM options) does not corresponds with real landcover. Especially, we were worried about lack of wetlands, because it should makes sensible impact on climate system.

To solve this problem using BATS model, I had made changes in domain-file, changing landuse in area (near 150 000 km^2) on bog/marsh, but it made negligible effect on output parameters over this area, such as monthly precipitations.

In other simulation with CLM model I had changed percentage of wetland over this area (it was 0%) in corresponding .nc file, but influence on output parameters still was
too small and fragmentary.

I suspect that I do it wrong, and changes I made is not reasonobly. May be there is some other parameters, should be changed, to take an effect? Or, maybe, RegCM actually does not sensitive to such landuse changes? Please, help me understand.

Thanks for any help.
Best regards.
