Hi Kumar

This issue has been discussed in the regcm archive a couple of years ago so you migh find more detail there.
aext is an extensive varibele: it gives you the AOD of the layer on the sigma grid. If you sum vertically yiou get the total AOD.
If you want to interpolate directly  on pressure level you might have some trouble since it is an extensive varible. I suggest you normalise first by the the height thickness of the layer on the sigma grid , you 'll obtain an aerosol extinction in m-1 ..  then you can interpolate using sigma2p the usual scripts. Then you can go back to AOD remultiplying by the thickness of the layer on the new pressure grid ..

Hi everyone,

The Netcdf files as output from the "Postproc"
have a vertical level in sigma coordinate for the RegCM4.0 Chemistry (Espesailly aerosol output aext8) , What is the
possibilities to get them in pressure coordinate
instead. Any suggestion?

Thanking you with anticipation
