Dear Ismaila
Thank you very much for your reply. I had gone into the user guide. But it could clear my doubt. Can you please clarify it?
I have performed my job exactly you have mentioned. But my doubt is regarding the SAV** file which is in the Output folder.
Whether it is needed to soft link/ copy this SAV** file into the Input folder? This is what we used to follow in RegCM3.
Thanking You,
Sridhara Nayak
HI,Do a ls in your output directory and look the last SAV file. For example you started in Jan 2000 then your simulation stop in Nov 2000, in this case your last sav file will llok lik: *SAV.2000110100.So now to restart your run, open your namelist (regcm.in) change the following lineifrestart 'false'idate 0 2000010100idate 1 2000010100idate 2 2010010100ifrestart 'true'idate 0 2000010100
idate 1 2000110100 (you will put there the time folowing the *SAV.) so in this example it's 2000110100.idate 2 2010010100For more detail you can read the user guide.Hope in this helpRegardsismaila

Subject: [RegCNET] How to use the restart option in RegCM4.1.1?
_______________________________________________
Dear Sir/ Madam,
I wish to perform a simulation for 10 years using RegCM4.1.1. So I have prepared the ICBC for 10 years. But because of space/ proxy time limit, my job is terminated after 11 months run. Under such circumstances, I want to restart my job. So, is it required to link/ copy the previous run's SAV file into the Input folder? In this regards, can you please suggest me how to use the restart option in RegCM4.1.1?
Thanking You,
Sridhara Nayak
