Thanks a lot dear Juan. Yes I have seen these files but I don't think this is the thing  am looking for. Right, these are parts of the surface data (located usually at /PreProc/DATA). But the one I am looking for is a text file or so located at (/PreProc/Terrain) which called LANDUSE and contains data look below:

88888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888 88BBBB88888BBBBBBBBBB88888BBB88     BBBBBB
88888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888 88BBBB88888BBBBBBBBBB88888BBB88     BBBBBB
888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888    88B8888888B8BBBBBBBBBB8888BB888       BBB
8888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888    88888888888BBBBBBBBBBB8BB888888       BB

8 represents desert and soon on.

regards

Dear Abubakr,

2012/4/5 abubakr salih <abubakr_salih@yahoo.com>

Hi all,

I am still using RegCM3 for some mini-experiments. I recently compared the model performance in rainfall distribution with observations from stations, the results were just wonderful. The model captured the same pattern like the observations. I have a little problem now, I don't have the global data set of BATS vegetation types that stored in LANDUSE file which we use to generate terrain file. If some one have it some where I would glad to get.

Best regards

/Abubakr
