Thanks very much for your kind reply, but I still have some doubts. For example, is dust-emssion still occurs on deserts or semi-deserts with snow covered in winter? Is the effect of snow considered in dust emission sheme? Thanks a lot again.

Dust is emitted from desert and semidesert(in the newer versions) areas. If the land cover is other than these, there is no dust emission, if I get your point...
