Sorry for sending so many emails. Indeed I do have non-zero, non-NaN values in the radiative file, I was not reading it properly!!!
But anyway, I am still interested by interfering with people using RegCM for solar radiation studies.
Thanks again  for your reply.
Best regards
Béatrice

Subject: [RegCNET] Surface solar radiation

Dear All,

Which variable should I extract from the output files if I want to study solar resource at the surface? Up to now, I have plotted "solin" in RAD output files, but I have seen in the User's guide, that there are many variables relative to solar radiation (sina, fsw in SFR output files). Which one should I use then? Indeed, I am interested in global solar radiation received over the surface. Is anyone working on solar radiation with RegCM?

In the previous RegCM version I used, I did get non-zero values for radiative fields. A few days ago, I installed the latest version of RegCM (the one posted on the web site in November 2009). The model is running but the radiative file has zero values in it now. Is there any parameter I should care about then?

Many thanks by advance for your response.

Greetings,

Béatrice
