Hi Mrs. Nato,
First of
all you need to install the IFC compiler. Download the compiler ( I_fc_c_9.0.031.tar.gz ) in any directory you want.
Then untar this file using the command in shell,
tar -zxvf I_fc_c_9.0.031.tar.gz
then read the INSTALL file to install the compiler properly. You
will be asked for license file during installation. I hope you have got
license file with .lic extension.
It is not necessary to use PGI compiler for practice run. You can use
IFC compiler. Just replace "Makefile_PGI5" with "Makefile_IFC8"
in the commands written on the Regcm3 practice run manual. (dont forget
to set ibyte=1 in domain.param, if you are using IFC8 or IFC9)

Subject: RegCM
Dear Sir/Madam,
We have already downloaded the REGCM3 software and
have subscribed the RegCNet.
We have also downloaded the I_fc_c_9.0.031 file on the
desktop. Does it have a special address where to
download it?
Is it necessary us to have a PGI Compiler to
implement the practice run of the program, or is it
possible to change the Makefile in practice run to
match it to IFC Compiler?
Thanks in advance very much.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs. Nato Kutaladze
