Hi Neil,

As you have noticed, the RegCM does not output a non-integer hour values.  This would be a nice addition to make to the code and should in theory be fairly simple to do:
  1. Convert ntime, kbats, ntapfrq, nradisp, kchem, nsavfrq, and nradisp to minutes instead of hours.  This should be done in param.f for all the variables expect for ntime.  ntime should be changed in tend.f.
  2. Change the if statements calling the surface output to reflect the kbats change.  This should be done mainly in output.f, but also in a few other places (e.g. zengocndrv.f, interf.f, radout.f)
Send us the code once you have made the changes so that we can make the update for the next release.

Best regards,

Jeremy

P.S.  Note that the RegCNET address has been changed to regcnet@lists.ictp.it

I am trying to output surface and atmospheric variables at a frequency higher than one hour.  When I try to set it to a value of say .5 for every 30 min output the model does not seem to run, and the output is written at what seems to be random times.  Has anyone been able to write output faster than this.  Any advice on what might need to be changed would be appreciated.

Thanks for your help
