Well Moet the problem is not to write ctl file but the variables. The variables stored in the data are needed to display . We donot know what kind of variables are in that FVgcm data file. The ctl file is perfectly written. Is there any way to check what kind of variables names are in the data file, if we donot have the variables names.

Well, I think one should be able to write CTL file at his own so use following
info as hints:
grid points along lat= 181
grid points along lon= 288
vertical sigma levels= 18
The variables are written in the following sequence in the file:
U
V
T
Q
Calculate grid spacing from number of grid points along lat and lon. Other
files contain PS and ZS (Geopotential at surface).
Data is on follwoing sigma levels (I think):
0.3,0.5,0.7,.1,.15,.2,.25,.3,.35,.42,.5,.6,.7,.78,.85,.92,.96,1.

You may better post your CTL file at RegCNET after you write one.
Good luck,

Moet
