ICTP does not have resources to mirror the CMIP6 models global data from 
the node storage sites part of the ESGF onto our local infrastructure 
here in Trieste. In the directory above you can find an example script 
we used in the past to download MPI data onto our production HPC in 
CINECA. Even though it Looks like that the web server coded in the 
script is not anymore operational, you get the idea: you must go on the 
ESGF, collect all the URI and mirror the data layout present on the ESGF 
site populating it with the files onto your local storage. IF you are 
lucky, some of the OpenDAP servers may still be operational, and if you 
have the netCDF OpenDAP enabled you can directly use the remote servers 
to read the data. Mind that the DKRZ has shut down all the DAP servers.
