[RegCNET] RegCNET Digest, Vol 734, Issue 1

This error is coming from the gfortran compiler. You need to
modify the configure.ac file and add a compilation flag.

If you have used git clone to download, you can do the following:

git checkout origin/CORDEX-5

Or download again and do the above otherwise:

git clone https://github.com/ICTP/RegCM/
git checkout origin/CORDEX-5

and redo the bootstrap.sh + configure steps.

Other option would be:

CFLAGS="-fno-range-check" ./configure [options]

and make again.

Subject: [RegCNET] Version 5.0.0 Installation

Good morning, I am trying to run and install RegCM5.0.0, when I try to
configure the model I get this error message :

"./configure.ac: line 20: syntax error near unexpected token `[RegCM],'
./configure.ac: line 20: `AC_INIT([RegCM], [5.0.0], [ggiulian at ictp.it])' "

Can someone please help me on how to solve this problem?

You are supposed to first run the bootstrap.sh script (or autoreconf -f
-i) which will create the configure script. The .ac file is the input
for the process.
