[RegCNET] MSc scholarship (Jeddah) leading to PhD -Climate Change Center (CECCR)- Fall2019

Dear RegCNETers,

The Center of Excellence for Climate Change Research (CECCR) at King
Abdulaziz University (KAU), Jeddah, Saudi Arabia announces a new
application for TWO years Master Degree (Master in Meteorology)
Scholarship Program starting in Fall 2019. The deadline to apply is
15th April 2019. Based on the performance and after successfully
finishing the Master Degree Program, the selected candidates may be
admitted directly to the PhD Program in Meteorology. The CECCR
scholarship is an excellent opportunity for junior researchers to
conduct research using state-of-the-art computing facilities. Only
male candidates can apply for the announced program.

The following conditions must be fulfilled for the scholarship:

1.      B.Sc. degree/certificate (at least very good/first class) in
Meteorology or Physics or Mathematics.
2.      The graduation should not be more than 3 years old from the
application date.
3.      TOEFL score of 500 (paper-based or equivalent) or 5.5 bands in IELTS.
4.      Two recommendation letters.
5.      Applicant's age should be 28 years or less on the date of application.

The scholarships are for two years and include the following basic benefits:

1.      Monthly stipend: 1900 Saudi Riyal (1USD = 3.75 Saudi Riyal).
2.      A preparation allowance in the beginning of the course Sr. 1800.
3.      Free accommodation in the university dorms.
4.      Free Health Care.
5.      Subsidized meals can be provided for the candidate.
6.      A total sum of SR. 4000 allowance for printing the thesis.
7.      An allowance of SR. 2700 for shipping books (when graduated).
8.      Yearly return air ticket to the applicants' home country.
9.      Tuition fee waiver.
