Dear RegCNETers

I wanted to bring to your attention two items:

1) As you have seen from Graziano's email, a new release of the model
RegCM4.6 is now available. Compared to the previous version, we have fixed
a few things and implemented a small change to the Asselin filter to
improve the model stability. This is the model version that we plan to use
for the next round of CORDEX-II simulations, so we encourage everyone to
help us test it, and of course report any strange behaviors, bugs etc.

2) As usual, there will be a regional modeling session at the upcoming EGU
general assembly, which will be held in Vienna on 23-28 April, 2017. The
session number is:

CL5.10: Regional climate modeling, including CORDEX

convened by myself, Ray Arritt and Ivan Guettler. The deadline for
submission of abtsracts is 11 January 2017 (13:00 CET), so not far from
now. Traditionally, this has been one of the strongest sessions in the
climate program of the EGU assembly, if not the strongest. Hence I
encourage you to submit an abstract and attend the session, which will be
ever more interesting as CORDEX-II shapes up. And please do not wait until
1/2 hour before the deadline to submit your abstract.

Hoping that you enjoy the latest RegCM4 release, and that you are able to
come to EGU2017,

with my best regards to everyone, Filippo
