[RegCNET] Problem with downscaling of CanESM2 using RegCM4.4rc8

Dear RegCNET friends,

I have been downscaling the CanESM2 global model over North America
using RegCM4 and find that the results produce very low precipitation.
Downscaling from other data sources (such as ERA-Interim reanalysis, or
HadGEM2-ES and GFDL-ESM2M global models) using the exact same
configuration produces reasonable precipitation amounts. I am using
RegCM4.4rc8 for this project.

So I have a few questions for other RegCM4 users and developers:

Has anyone else used CanESM2 to provide BC data for RegCM4, and if so,
do you obtain realistic precipitation?

Is there any possibility that there could be a problem in the icbc
routine for CanESM2?

Thanks for any comments or insights. If you want more information
please ask.

Ray Arritt
