In the 4.4 you can have a look to the interface we have:

1) Check in the Tools/Scripts/ directory the cfs_to_netcdf_regcm.sh
script to transform CFS data into netcdf (required wgrib2)

2) Use the CFSXX code for both ssttyp and dattyp where XX is the
ensemble member (01 02 03 04).

Relevant code is in the mod_ncep.F90
