please forward to those who may be interested, apologies for cross-postings.

I am informed by Robert Pincus that the conference has funds to support
the local costs of some participants from Africa.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

Applications for the eighth biennial Gordon Research Conference (GRC) on
Radiation and Climate, to be held July 7-12, 2013 at Colby-Sawyer
College in New Hampshire, USA are due by June 9. The theme for the
2013 GRC is "Observing the Interactions Among Radiation, Clouds, and the
Climate System.” The GRC will be preceded by a Gordon Research
Seminar for students and postdoctoral researchers. The list of GRC
session topics is attached to this email and a full list of speakers,
talk titles, and discussion leaders is available at
http://www.grc.org/programs.aspx?year=2013&program=radiation.

The GRC is characterized by long (40 min) invited talks, followed by 20
minute discussion periods to encourage intensive discussion of key
scientific topics. Extensive time for informal discussion is also
available outside the lecture hall during the community meals and
activities and during the poster session. Moreover, GRC lectures,
discussions, and poster sessions are “off-the-record”, allowing honest
and open discussion of scientific ideas and challenges.

We hope to see you at the GRC this summer!

Sally McFarlane & Robert Pincus
2013 Radiation & Climate GRC Co-Chairs
