Hi Eko,
to use (some) of the CMIP5 datasets, you must use the latest code (would suggest
going with the 4.4 release canditate).
The relevant dattyp are composed of 5 characters, with a leading 2 char code for
the CMIP5 model, an underscore "_" and a 2 char code for the scenario.
The model id is in:
CA - Canadian ESM2 model
HA - Hadley model GEM2
CS - CSIRO MK36 model
EC - EC-Earth model
IP - IPSL CM5A code
GF - GFDL ESM2M model
CN - CNRM CM5 model
MP - MPI ECHAM 6 model
The scenario code are:
RF - Reference period up to 2006-01-01 (some models read 2005-12-01)
45 - RCP45 scenario
85 - RCP85 scenario
A ssttyp/dattyp couple for example as:
ssttyp = HA_45,
dattyp = HA_45,
will select the Hadley center HaGEM2 MR model with the RCP 4.5 scenario.
Note that we have as of now available only the r1i1p1, so the code will not work
with newer releases of the GCMs...
An example of data directory structure and data for a CMIP5 driven run can be
found at
http://clima-dods.ictp.it/data/d8/cordex
The data here are the ones used for the cited CREMA experiment.
If you have any question on this, please contact me.
Ciao!
Graziano.
