[RegCNET] landuse categories "urban" and "suburban"

Dear RegCM users,

I would like to benefit from the fact, that RegCM4 considers
additional landuse categories in BATS: 21 - Urban and 22 - suburban.
However, when creating high resolution domain (10 km x 10 km) with
subgridding (5x5), the values for the landuse in the TEST_DOMAIN000.nc
and TEST_DOMAIN025.nc are ranging from 1 to 19. There is no 21 or 22.
The domain covers area of Czech Republic which contains large cities
that should be identifiable at the mentioned resolution. I tried the
same for a shifted domain over the Ruhr area in Germany (a highly
urbanized region) with the same outcome of "terrain": no urban or
suburban categories in the output domain file.

The terrain procedure reads the GLCC_BATS_30s.nc. Is the problem
within this input file?

The relevant namelist parameters are listed below.

 &dimparam
 iy     = 40,
 jx     = 50,
 kz     = 23,
 nsg    = 25,
 /
 &geoparam
 iproj = 'LAMCON',
 ds = 10.0,
 ptop = 5.0,
 clat = 50.9,
 clon = 4.5,
 plat = 50.9,
 plon = 4.5,
 truelatl = 45.0,
 truelath = 55.0,
 i_band = 0,
 /
 &terrainparam
 domname = 'TEST',
 ntypec =  2,
 ntypec_s = 2,
 smthbdy = .false.,
 lakedpth = .false.,
 fudge_lnd   = .false.,
 fudge_lnd_s = .false.,
 fudge_tex   = .false.,
 fudge_tex_s = .false.,
 h2opct = 75.,
 dirter = '.',
 inpter = '/data/met/data/raw',
 /

Does anybody have some experience using these two additional urban
related categories?

Thanks for any help.
Peter
