Dear colleagues and partners,

The International Scientific Steering Committee of AMMA is pleased to
announce that the 4th AMMA International Conference will take place from
2nd to 6th July 2012 in Toulouse, France.

Following the 2nd International Science Plan (1) <#NOTE>, the conference
will be organized around 3 interacting themes:
*
    (A) Society, Environment and Climate Interactions*
*    (B) Weather, Seasonal and Climate Predictability and Prediction*
*    (C) The Monsoon System *

The conference will include sessions devoted to discuss:

    * the ways to ensure that the AMMA knowledge is used to develop and
      enhance products and tools to support the development of African
      nations,
    * current and future AMMA research initiatives,
    * sustained observations in the West African region and their links
      with other regional efforts (e.g. GEOSS, SECAO, PIRATA, etc), as
      well as current, planned and proposed field campaigns.

Le Comité International de Direction Scientifique d'AMMA a le plaisir
d'annoncer la tenue de la 4ème Conférence Internationale d'AMMA du 2 au
6 juillet 2012, à Toulouse, France.

Selon la structure du second Plan Scientifique International du

conférence :

*    (B) Prévisibilité et Prévision du Temps, Saisonnière et Climatique*
*    (C) Le Système de Mousson*

La conférence inclura des sessions dédiées aux discussions concernant :

    * les manières de s'assurer que la connaissance issue d'AMMA est
      utilisée pour développer et améliorer les produits et outils
      pouvant contribuer au développement des pays africains
    * les actuelles et futures initiatives de recherche AMMA
    * les observations pérennes en Afrique de l’Ouest et leur
      coordination avec les efforts régionaux (tels GEOSS, SECAO,
      PIRATA, etc.), et les campagnes de mesures en cours, planifiées ou
      envisagées.
