[RegCNET] RegCM treatment of top of the atmosphere?

Greetings colleagues,

We’re modeling ozone and are concerned with stratospheric values.  Is the top boundary of the RegCM updated like the lateral edges with boundary conditions?  Or is it only given initial conditions?  If it is updated, is it in the same manner as the lateral boundaries or is there a separate method?
