Did You check endianess? AFAIK GrADS writes out data with the endianess of the
architecture. The RegCM model forces the file to be big endian (coming from the
old era where all BIG machines where big endian), but a common PC is little
endian. Try to remove the big_endian options line in the ctl reading the
fwritten file.
