Dear users,
I had a couple of requests for the code to run RegCM3 with ERA-Interim
as input which is why I post the changes here now. Attached are the two
files which I modified. Just do a diff with the originals and you will
see the changes.
I defined the ERA-Interim data as 'ERAI' when you have to select input
fields in domain.param. I also added a directory which holds the ERAI
data (../RegCM/PreProc/DATA/ERAI/). I downloaded ERAI data from the
ECMWF website (http://data-portal.ecmwf.int/data/d/interim_daily/) where
they are available in 1.5x1.5 degree spatial resolution and 37 vertical
levels. The input fields are in netCDF format. I used the same naming
convention for the files as the ERA-40 data available on the RegCM
website (http://users.ictp.it/~pubregcm/RegCM3/globedat.htm#part2) but I
am not sure whether this is necessary.
The modified code seems to work for me. Please let me know if you spot
any mistakes.
Good luck,
Sebastian
