RegCM works with Mac OS, Great ! Did you prepare your own Makefile ? Is it 
a parallel run ?

For the NaN issue, it's related to the CFL (CourantFriedrichsLewy) 
condition, it's wind speed related.

The simplest way to treat this issue is reduce the time step.
