[RegCNET] File size and frequency

By default RegCM writes ICBC and output files at monthly intervals. For
very large domains this can produce files exceeding 2.1 GB which is the
limit for many systems. This appears to be hard-coded into various
routines such as ICBC.f and output.F and thus is not easy to change. But
maybe I am wrong and there is an easy way to produce new files more
often than once per month, so that each input or output file will be
smaller. Does anyone have experience doing this?

Thanks for any suggestions you can offer. Best New Year wishes to all
the RegCM community.
