Dear RegCNETers

I wanted to bring your attention to the upcoming Fifth ICTP Workshop on
the Theory and Use of Regional Climate Models, to be held at ICTP on May
31-June 11, 2010 (see attached poster). This workshop will focus mostly on
the RegCM applications (including CORDEX) and the release of the next
version of the model (RegCM4), which we hope will have a number of
important new features. We also plan to produce a special issue of an
international journal (currently thinking of JGR or Climate Dynamics)
including papers from this workshop. To expedite the process, we ask
people who are planning to participate to this special issue to produce an
extended abstract including most of the material for their paper. We plan
to have a special session of the workshop dedicated to the discussion of
these papers.

The deadline for application is 31 JANUARY 2010, so make sure not to miss
it.

looking forward to seeing you next year,

with my best regards, Filippo Giorgi
