Dear Rahiz,

The best option is to use the latest version of postprocessor of RegCM3.

I am attaching a shell script "autoproc.sh" , hope that it would be helpful
to other RegCM users too. This script automatically generates "postproc.in"
and "user.in" and extracts each variable in ATM, SRF and RAD separately in
separate files. If you have a longer run at higher resolution then even for
1 variable the file size can be bigger than 2GB (for daily outputs) , this
script takes care of that and split the output file in 3 parts for each
variable. In my case the run was from 1982 to 2006 at 30 km resolution and
it splits the output in 3 parts 1982-90, 1990-98, 1998-2006. You need to set
your dates and your options of postproc.in in autoproc.sh, but no need to
change the options of user.in. You do not need to edit "postproc.in" and
"user.in", that are created by RegCM3, place this script in your run
directory. Just edit and run this script and sit back for few days.

Cheers !
Faisal
