Hi Farzan,
I use the following script to area average and write the time series data into a txt file. Hope this will help.
'reinit'
'open file.ctl'
itime=1
'set t 1'
'!rm tm1.txt'
while (itime < 1000)
'set t ' itime
'define tm = aave(pre,lon=80,lon=95,lat=25,lat=40)'
'd tm '
help = subwrd(result,4)
res = write('tm1.txt',help,append)
itime = itime+1
endwhile

Subject: [RegCNET] GrADS
Hi Everyone,
this is Farzan from Bangladesh...when I use GrADS to view any RegCM output (suppose ATM.2008010100 to see the temperature distribution over Bangladesh for Jan 2008), it produces a graph for me...but i want to have those data in numerical form (in a text file) so that i myself can produce the graph using excel or spss...how can i do that in grads..or do i have to use any other program for that purpose?
regards.....
