Hi Regcen
I used Rregcm3 for multi year simulation; the simulation time for one year took around 12 hour using desktop Intel® Celeron® processor 2.6 GH. To reduce the simulation time I upgrade my desktop computer to be Intel Core 2 quad processor 2.4 GH, however after run the regcm3 I found that the simulation time reduced to 9 hour(I tried the parallel code with 4 CPU). I noticed in the system monitor that the computer work using one core of the 4 cores of the Intel Core 2 quad processor .
I wonder how I can make the model run using the parallel code on the computer using the 4 CPU of the new Intel Core 2 quad processor. The system used is Fedora 9.0 and I used PGI complier.
Thanks in advance
Regards
Eman
