Dear Ashraf

Concerning your questions my PhD thesis (Bern Univ.,Switzerland, 1999)
was on fundamental tropospheric chmemistry of ozone in the free
troposphere involving both measurements of radicals and other species
and chemical box modeling. In our group now in Greece we use CAMx for
regional air-quality modelling. We partcipate in CECILIA EU project
(ICTP also participates) where we look on climate change impacts on
air pollution. In this aspect we use RegCM3 to get the meteorological
boundary conditions to force off-line CAMx for present and future
simulations. I am aware of similar work that has been already
published in 2007 (Atmos. Environ.) by Meleux, Solmon and Giorgi using
CHIMERE.
However, since our CAMx calculations are offline and cannot have
feedback of air quality on climate, I am also very interested for a
RegCM3/chem model to see the feedback of tropospheric ozone on
regional climate scale. In which stage is you project on this issue?
As far as it concerns the project "Use of a Regional climate model
coupled with aerosols to study the climate feedback of aerosols on
Eastern Mediterranean Climate" is in the stage of submission for
funding. I have done already yearly calcualtions looking the feedback
of anthropogenic aerosols getting support by Fabien. I will let you
when I have some interesting conclusions from the analysis.

With kind regards
Prodromos
