Hi, Dr Bi:
Now I have some problems with AEROSOL, I expect to get your help.

  (1) I want to make experiment only with dust, no aerosol. My ways is as follow:
     set AERTYP='AER00D1' in domain.param
     run './terrain.x' and './icbc.x'

But 'AERO.ctl' and 'AERO.dat' are not produced in '../Input'.
     I set 'ntr=4' and 'nbin=4' in 'parame'
       mv ../Commons/regcm.in_4dust ../PracticeRun/regcm.in
       cp ../Commons/regcm.x ../PracticeRun/.

     I change 'idat0','idat1' and 'idat2' in 'regcm.in' accordingly.
But There isn't '/bin/ln -sf ../Input/AERO.dat AERO.dat' in regcm.x, so I doubt if RegCM3 run only with dust, no aerosol.

Is my ways right ? And why I should set 'chtrname'='dust','dust','dust','dust' ? If I only set 'chtrname'='dust', is it right ?

  (2) I have some doubts about how to set 'ntr' and 'nbin' in 'parame' all the time. When I set AERTYP='AER01D0' or 'AER10D0' or 'AER11D0' or 'AER01D1' or 'AER10D1' or 'AER11D1', I set 'ntr=6' and 'nbin=4' in the same way.
    Is my ways right ?

  (3) How to decide to use 'regcm.in_4dust' or 'regcm.in_6aerosol' or 'regcm.in_10areosol' ?
Can 'chtrname' in 'regcm.in' be changed ? If can, how to change it ?
If I make experiment only with 'BC' or 'SO2', I set 'chtrname'='BC' or 'SO2'. Is it right ?

  (4) what means is it when I set 'nbin=4' in 'parame' ?

I anticipate to get your answers.
        Thanks you very much.

                           yours sincerely: ljy_926
