Hello, everyone:

I have read RegCM V3.1 user's Guide again and again, but I don't find 'latent heat flux' in RegCM3's output, whether in 'ATM.*.ctl', 'SRF.*.ctl' or in 'RAD.*.ctl'. I'm puzzled for this problem for a long time. Does RegCM3 don't calculate or need this variable ? If someone know this problem, Could you tell me how to calculate 'latent heat flux' from the 'output variables' of RegCM3.

Moreover, I also have a problem. I don't know if everyone find the differences between RegCM3's Guides and the outputs of RegCM3('*.ctl') about the descriptions of variables for RegCM3's outputs. For exampl, 'fc' is described as 'cloud fraction', but it isn't in the outputs of RegCM3. And 'fsw' is described as 'net solar absorbed', but it is said as 'net absorbed solar energy flux' in the outpus of RegCM3. so I'm confused completely. what are the factual meaning of these variables ? I expect the RegCM3's experts can pay attention to these simple problems. I believe this will be significative for developing and using RegCM3.

I will be very gratesful for your kinderness if I can get exact descriptions about the output variables of RegCM3 in a short time.

I look forward to your answers for above problems.

                           yours sincerely : ljy_926
