[RegCNET] Problem in RegCM3 aerosol simulation.

Hi Konare,
Many thanks for your reply. However, I am not able to understand where
should I find the conv_bin.f routine. I can understand that there is a
mistake of conversion factor but how do I correct my aerosol data. Even
Solmon was saying the same thing to me. I am not generating the aerosol
data from any inventory database but I am using whatever is provided in
the ICTP website.

Long back Bi had sent an email mentioning some improvements in
AEROSOL.dat. I have downloaded the aerosol data (AEROSOL.dat and
AEROSOL.ctl) from the ICTP website after this announcement and I expected
the aerosol data to be corrected for the same bug. However, it may so
happen that the aerosol data available in the ICTP website was not updated
for the bug related to conversion factor.

I would like to know if the aerosol data currently available in the ICTP
website is corrected for conversion factor problem. If not then from where
I can get the corrected aerosol data.

Thanks in advance.

Dilip.

There is a mistake in the conversion factors : ! kg/yr/1x1 cell ==> kg/m2/s, have a look in the file attached ( from the previous version) and replace accordingly the coefficients a(i,j)=a(i,j)/(0.5*(ax1+ax2)*by)/86400/365 in conv_bin.f by the corresponding one in the file attached, this will deal with the second point. The problem you mentioned in point one which has been dealt before however if it remains let me know then i will send to you my Main which works.
